Learn how an investment manager oversees outsourced service providers. Gain hands-on exposure to fund operations, governance and international collaboration. Explore how AI can improve monitoring, reporting and operational workflows.

That is what you will use your talents for as an Intern Third Party Management at Van Lanschot Kempen. You will support the team in managing and monitoring external service providers such as fund administrators, transfer agents and custodians. You will learn how outsourcing governance, service reviews and operational oversight work in practice, while actively identifying AI-driven opportunities to improve existing processes.

You also have the following tasks:

• Support outsourcing governance activities and service provider monitoring in a regulated environment.
• Learn about operational processes such as NAV calculation, transfer agency, custody activities and invoice processing.
• Assist with KPI monitoring and service quality assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Portfolio Management, Risk and Compliance, as well as external providers.
• Identify and explore AI use cases to improve monitoring, reporting and service provider oversight processes.

In addition you have:

• Studying towards a degree in Finance, Economics, Business or similar.
• Affinity with investment funds and knowledge of fund accounting, transfer agency and custody.
• Knowledge of illiquid funds.
• You know how to make practical use of AI tools in your daily work.
• Good mastery of English, both oral and written. Mastery of Dutch is a plus.

The Third Party Management team consists of 11 professionals within Operational Services. The team is the first point of contact for external service providers and acts as the liaison between these parties and Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management. It is also the escalation point for operational matters and issues.
