System Engineer Intern (f/m/d)

Location: Reims

Department: System

Type: 4 to 6 month internship

Starting: September 2026

While developing a launch system, keeping track of technical requirements, interface information and their respect throughout the different studies and analyses is essential to ensure a consistent system from the specification phase to the qualification phase.

As Latitude enters an important testing phase, the results will play a key role in the remaining path to flight. In this context, system engineering is essential to maintain technical coherence, track test successes and failures, follow configuration changes, and support successful qualification and flight approval.

Tasks & missions

Integrated into the System and Mission Analysis department, you will be part of the system team working across different projects such as propulsion, launch vehicle development, combined tests and ground systems development.

Your mission will focus on the coherence of the development of systems and subsystems with regard to their respective technical requirements.

To do so, you will be integrated into the development teams to keep Verification Control Matrices and Statements of Compliance up to date through:

  • Analysis of technical documentation
  • Review and analysis of test campaigns
  • Writing of Acceptance and Qualification Plans
  • Participation in technical milestones such as PDR, CDR, QR, etc.

With this position, you will learn how system engineers interact with development teams to ensure consistent system development, while gaining an overall vision of a specific product.

Moreover, your mission will allow you to develop a strong multidomain vision and technical critical thinking. As part of the System and Mission Analysis team, you will work closely with all aspects of launch system development: from propulsion to structures, from ground systems to trajectory and performance, from electrical to fluidic systems, and from design to testing.

Finally, you will learn the necessary rigor and methods to understand complex system development throughout your career.

Preferred experience & skills

  • You have knowledge in space or multidomain systems and are eager to work in launcher development.
  • You have experience in system engineering, system development, technical design or an equivalent field.
  • You are rigorous and have strong technical curiosity.
  • Being comfortable in English, both speaking and writing, is mandatory.
  • You want to work in a dynamic company and face technical challenges.
