About the role:
Graitec is looking for a highly motivated gap year or final-year intern to contribute to a strategic finance
transformation project within a fast-growing software / SaaS environment, while also contributing to M&A
and market intelligence initiatives.
You will work at the intersection of Finance, Sales Excellence, IT and Data teams, with a strong exposure to
SaaS performance management and M&A-related analytical work.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in SaaS financial KPIs, operational finance transformation, and M&A market intelligence, within an international software group serving the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry.
Strategic Finance Transformation (Primary Scope)
· Contribute to the implementation and structuring of key SaaS performance KPIs, including:
o Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)
o Gross and Net Retention o New business / Churn
o Upsell / Cross-sell
o Gross-to-Net Revenue analysis and reconciliation
· Support the definition, documentation and standardization of KPI frameworks and reporting logic.
· Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales Excellence, IT and Data teams to ensure data consistency, reliability and alignment with business objectives.
· Participate in the improvement of reporting, dashboards and performance analysis used for management and strategic decision-making.
M&A and Market Intelligence (Secondary Scope)
· Perform market and competitor analyses to support M&A and strategic planning initiatives.
· Provide structured intelligence insights on the AEC software market, including key players, positioning and trends.
· Support target screening and preliminary analysis (business model, SaaS metrics, strategic fit).
· Contribute to internal investment materials (e.g. summaries, market slides, analytical notes).
Profile & Qualifications:
· Gap year or Final-year student from a top-tier business school, engineering school, or university,
with a strong focus on finance, strategy or data.
· Strong interest in SaaS business models, performance metrics and technology-driven environments.
· Prior exposure (academic or internship) to finance, M&A, strategy consulting, or business
analytics is a plus.
· Solid analytical and structuring skills; comfortable working with data, KPIs and financial concepts.
· Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI is a plus.
· Fluency in both French and English is required, as this role involves working in an international
environment with English-speaking colleagues.
