About Ignite Next
Ignite Next is Europe's scale-up program for deep tech innovation, founded by the former Intel Ignite leadership team and now independently operated. We accelerate early-stage, high-impact startups developing breakthrough technologies in semiconductors, physical AI, advanced computing, and other frontier domains.
Non-dilutive and founder-first, Ignite Next works with leading technology companies—including Infineon, Intel, and Synopsys—to connect startups with world-class technical and business expertise, turning breakthrough innovation into breakout success. We are headquartered in Dresden, Germany, at the heart of Silicon Saxony.
The Role
We're hiring a Marketing & Events Intern to help us plan and run the moments that define our accelerator program - from our Selection Day and Kickoff Week to our Grand Finale, alumni events, and industry appearances. You'll coordinate logistics, work directly with mentors, corporate partners, and VC funds, and help make sure every event we run feels like it belongs to a premium, world-class program - not a generic startup meetup. You'll also help amplify these moments afterward through content and social media, so the work we do reaches beyond the room.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership from early on. You'll be trusted with pieces of our flagship events, not just admin support.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in German (C1 / C2 level), with excellent written and spoken English
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, or recently graduated (any field - what matters more here is judgment and experience, not the degree)
- A genuine, firsthand sense of what makes an event excellent - gained through real exposure to well-run events, hospitality, or premium experiences - you know the difference between an event that looks fine on paper and one that people actually remember
- Prior practical experience in event planning, marketing, or hospitality - an internship, working student role, or hands-on volunteer/staff experience where you helped deliver a real event or campaign
- Strong organizational skills and real attention to detail - you notice the things that would otherwise slip
- Comfortable with productivity and event tools (Notion, Google Workspace, and ideally something like Luma or Eventbrite)
- Familiar with Claude and generally AI-savvy - you use AI tools naturally to speed up research, drafting, and admin work
- Proactive, and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be told the next step
Nice to Have
- Experience creating content or managing social media
- Experience with CRM tools (we use Attio)
- Exposure to higher-end event formats specifically - corporate dinners, receptions, or similarly curated experiences
What to Expect
- Real ownership of pieces of our flagship events - Selection Day, Kickoff Week, the Grand Finale, and more
- Direct exposure to founders, mentors, corporate partners, and VC funds
- Networking opportunities at exclusive industry events
- Compensation: €2,500/month
- Format: Internship only, minimum 3 months - based on-site at our Munich location, Türkenstraße 55
