Internship – Global Sponsorship

Dear sports enthusiast,

Igniting the thrill of millions through the excitement of the UEFA Men’s and Women’s Champions League, dazzling our guests with world class hospitality at the Formula 1 Grand Prix and supporting on one of the fastest growing and most social sports in the world of Padel!

Sounds like a dream? Some might say so… But this could be your reality because we’re looking for a new passionate intern to join the Global Sponsorship Events Team at Heineken, situated in Amsterdam. The selected candidate will be a key support in everything we do, from event support, ticketing, hospitality, activation and all production related topics in our Global Sponsorship properties.

Internship period – 1sr of September 2026 until 26th of February 2027

Your Responsibilities

In this internship your responsibilities are:

  • Support the team on a broad range of preparations for our sponsorship activations and events in close cooperation with rightsholders, our agencies and internal stakeholders
  • When applicable, assist on site at events
  • Support our day-to-day business and ad hoc requests (i.e. support in writing briefings, create presentations etc.)
  • Support and initiate internal communications by sharing best practices and excite markets with our world class sponsorship portfolio.
  • Assist with and execute administrative duties.
  • Maintain agendas and status reports for weekly partnership meetings with the internal Project Teams, ensuring all actions and deadlines are delivered and met.

The Global Sponsorship Team is part of the Global Heineken Brand Team. Within the Sponsorship team we oversee the various global sponsorships as UEFA Champions League, Formula 1, Premier Padel & Coachella. Our focus is to ensure that the different markets around the world are equipped with the right sponsorship knowledge & elements to let them execute best! This varies from event support, ticketing, hospitality, activation and all production related topics in our Global Sponsorship properties.

  • Exceptional team player and eager to learn and share knowledge
  • A pragmatic approach with a can-do mentality
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in hospitality, sport marketing, project management and/ or digital communication

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  • You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    • In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    • In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  • You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  • You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

  • A full-time internship, starting on September 1, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • Your home office will be located in Amsterdam
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
