ROLE DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to strengthen our team in the Benelux. This internship will focus on two speciality areas – Recruitment and Learning and Development. A great opportunity to gain practical experience in recruitment, talent acquisition and L&D within the dynamic hospitality sector. In this position, you will work closely with our Recruitment and L&D team, supporting the culture of our organization and contributing to the growth of our amazing team.

Job requirements

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Recruitment

  • Candidate sourcing: Use various channels – such as job boards, social media, and direct contact – to identify and approach top talent.
  • Vacancy management: Draft, adapt, and publish attractive job postings to attract the best candidates in the hospitality industry.
  • Applicant selection: Screen CVs and applications with attention to detail, and conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Interview coordination: Plan and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers to ensure a smooth and positive recruitment process.
  • Employer branding: Contribute to strengthening Leonardo Hotels as an attractive employer through job fairs, career events, and social media campaigns.
  • Recruitment data & analysis: Support in tracking recruitment data and preparing reports on key statistics and trends.
  • Administrative support: Ensure the proper functioning of the applicant tracking system and compliance with internal processes and legislation.

Learning and Development

  • Training coordination: Support the organization and planning of training programmes, including logistics, scheduling, and communication with participants.
  • Learning materials development: Assist in creating and updating engaging training materials, such as PowerPoint presentations and supporting content.
  • L&D projects: Contribute to projects such as employee engagement initiatives and the implementation of new learning systems.
  • E-learning development: Help design and maintain digital learning solutions and e-learning modules.
  • Training delivery support: Assist with the preparation and execution of classroom trainings, including materials and on-site logistics.
  • Learning analysis & reporting: Analyse training feedback and data, and support reporting on outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • General L&D support: Work closely with the L&D team on a variety of activities, gaining broad, hands-on experience across the field.

WHY ARE YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS ROLE?

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You are eager to learn more about recruitment, talent acquisition and Learning and development in the hospitality sector.
  • You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You work accurately and in an organized manner.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office and have affinity with digital recruitment tools.
  • You have a strong interest in systems and AI and enjoy exploring how technology can enhance processes.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English.
  • You have a proactive and positive attitude and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are available from September 2026, and your internship lasts at least 5 months.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU (ADDITIONAL TO A GREAT TEAM)?

  • As an intern you will receive an internship fee based on €750,- gross per month fulltime, which consists of €670,- internship fee and €80,- expense allowance. We use variable payment periods of 4 or 5 weeks at a time, according to the number of days and hours worked. So one month you get a little less and the next month a little more.

Please note: you must be enrolled at a university or Dutch educational institution to be eligible for this internship.

You must be an EU citizen or hold a valid Dutch residence permit to qualify for this internship.
