The Production / Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. By partnering with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams, we drive process improvements, optimize workflows, and implement solutions that enhance operational performance.

About The Role

As an Intern within Production / Manufacturing Engineering, you will support daily manufacturing and operational activities while gaining exposure to production processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering best practices. This role is designed to provide valuable learning opportunities, strengthen our pipeline of emerging talent, and create meaningful engagement with future manufacturing professionals.

This position is ideal for students who are interested in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and engineering support within a dynamic production environment.

So, what will you be doing as an Intern?

  • Support Manufacturing Engineering and Operations teams with day-to-day projects and activities.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze production data to support operational decision-making.
  • Help develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and problem-solving activities.
  • Support production teams in identifying opportunities to improve workflow and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
  • Gain hands-on experience through mentoring, project work, and exposure to manufacturing best practices.
  • Participate in internship engagement and development activities that support talent development and employer branding initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in manufacturing operations and process improvement.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Things We Consider a Plus

  • Coursework or exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operations Management concepts.
  • Experience with manufacturing, engineering, or technical projects through coursework, clubs, or internships.
  • Familiarity with production metrics, data analysis, or process documentation.
  • Participation in engineering, manufacturing, or leadership organizations.
  • Interest in pursuing a long-term career in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations.
