Venture Finance Working Student (Part-time)

Support startup founders on strategic finance & growth

MPOWER Venture Crew is a boutique advisory team supporting high-growth European startups, primarily B2B SaaS, AI, and cybersecurity companies around Seed-Series A stage. We help highly ambitious founders make better strategic decisions across finance, growth, fundraising, and operational scaling.

As a Venture Finance Working Student, you will work directly with tech startups and the MPOWER team on a variety of strategic projects — from finance and fundraising support to market research, operational improvement, and growth initiatives. This role is designed as a high-learning, high-impact position for candidates interested in venture capital, startup strategy, finance management and entrepreneurship.

We are looking for ongoing part-time student support (20+hrs/week) with the candidate being based in Vienna.

What you will do

• Financial analysis & planning: Assist in maintaining and improving financial models, forecasts, and KPI frameworks to support business planning
• Strategic projects: Support founders on strategic initiatives through structured research, analysis, and problem-solving across multiple startup projects
• Fundraising & investor relations: Support investor research, outreach, and the preparation of fundraising materials
• Operations & Growth: Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives to help streamline how our clients work

What we’re looking for

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or similar
• First practical experience (internships or student roles) in consulting, finance, VC, startups, or similar a plus
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
• Solid Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent English (German is a plus)
• Interest in startups, venture capital, and entrepreneurship
• Comfortable using AI tools and modern productivity workflows

Compensation

Minimum Salary: The minimum salary will be in accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in information and consulting, and depends on the number of weekly hours desired.
