MMD & AOC Europe – Amsterdam

Are you a curious, hands-on student who wants to work on real products, real projects, and real market launches?

At MMD and AOC Europe, we are looking for an intern to join our Product Department in Amsterdam. This is not a passive internship. You will become part of a team that supports the product lifecycle from new product introduction to go-to-market and end-of-life readiness. You will work on two well-known monitor brands — Philips Monitors and AOC — and gain direct exposure to product management, technical product development, sustainability, product marketing, and business support.

This internship is ideal for a student who enjoys combining technology, analysis, creativity, and coordination in an international business environment.

About The Role

As a Product Department Intern, you will support the European Product team across a broad range of projects. Depending on business needs and your own strengths, your work can contribute to areas such as:

  • product management and product development support
  • market and competitor benchmarking
  • product testing and evaluation
  • technical and commercial product documentation
  • website and portal content readiness
  • product launch and event support
  • sustainability and circular design projects
  • data-driven research and business improvement initiatives

You will work closely with colleagues in Europe and with teams in Asia, including product management, R&D, marketing, quality, sustainability, and sales support.

What You Will Do

Product Management & Development Support

  • Support the team with product research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis for Philips and AOC monitor portfolios
  • Assist in evaluating new products, features, and market opportunities
  • Help prepare product comparisons, technical summaries, and internal reports
  • Support product testing, sample checks, unboxing reviews, and first-level product validation
  • Gather and structure feedback from journalist reviews, market input, and internal stakeholders

Technical Product & Sales Support

  • Help answer technical product and certification-related questions from internal sales teams
  • Support the preparation of product information for pre-sales activities, customer discussions, and internal presentations
  • Assist in building clear overviews of features, specifications, certifications, and product positioning

Product Content & Data Readiness

  • Support the maintenance of product information across internal and external platforms
  • Help upload and check materials such as leaflets, pictures, manuals, software, certifications, and presentations
  • Follow up with headquarters and stakeholders when required product information is missing or incomplete
  • Contribute to improving product content quality and consistency for European business needs

Product Marketing & Launch Support

  • Assist in preparing products and materials for launches, events, and trade shows
  • Work with product and marketing teams on product storytelling, product highlights, and launch readiness
  • Support review and improvement of product claims, feature explanations, and presentation materials

Sustainability & Innovation Projects

  • Support projects related to product sustainability, circular design, packaging, product carbon footprint, and ESG topics
  • Assist in research on sustainable product concepts, market trends, and future business opportunities
  • Contribute to internal projects that connect sustainability, product strategy, and data-driven decision-making
  • Depending on your study background, you may also support a dedicated thesis or project topic linked to the Product Department

What makes this internship interesting

This internship gives you the chance to work on more than one narrow task. You will see how a product team supports the business across different stages of the lifecycle — from new product introduction and development to marketing support, go-to-market preparation, and circular design thinking.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • international product management
  • consumer and business monitor markets
  • product benchmarking and validation
  • technical-commercial collaboration
  • sustainability in electronics
  • cross-functional project support

Who you are

We are looking for a student who is proactive, structured, and eager to learn. You enjoy working with both details and the bigger picture, and you feel comfortable in an international and fast-moving environment.

You are:

  • currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Sustainability, Industrial Design, Data/Analytics, or a related field
  • available for a full-time internship of 5–6 months
  • preferably already living and studying in the Netherlands
  • eligible to work as an intern without requiring a separate work permit
  • interested in technology, innovation, and product-related work
  • comfortable working with data, documents, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • proactive, reliable, and able to organize your own work
  • a strong communicator in English (Mandarin is an asset!)

What we offer

  • A broad and hands-on internship in an international Product Department
  • The opportunity to work on Philips Monitors and AOC
  • Exposure to real products, launches, benchmarking, and innovation projects
  • A hands-on team environment with three fixed office days per week at our Amsterdam headquarters: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • Hybrid working possibilities aligned with team activities and business needs
  • Internship allowance and travel support in line with company policy
  • Access to company products, tools, and test environments relevant to your projects
  • A dynamic team culture with room for initiative, learning, and company activities
