Make a difference as an Intern

As an intern at Enza Zaden, you will contribute to projects and challenges that directly support the development of the vegetables of tomorrow. Depending on your field of study, you will work alongside a team of specialists, collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines, and have the freedom to take ownership of your own assignments. You’ll combine learning with practical experience—from conducting research and analyzing data to improving processes and supporting projects. In doing so, you’ll not only make a meaningful contribution to your team but also gain the knowledge and experience needed for the next step in your career.

In this role, you may be involved in:

  • Supporting projects and day-to-day activities within your area of expertise;
  • Conducting analyses, research, or practical assignments;
  • Collecting, processing, and interpreting relevant data;
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing new ideas;
  • Collaborating with colleagues, subject matter experts, and fellow interns;
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

What you bring as a future intern

As an intern at Enza Zaden, you are curious, eager to learn, and comfortable taking initiative. You enjoy gaining new knowledge, asking questions, and actively contributing ideas for improvements and solutions. You work well with others while also taking responsibility for your own projects and professional development. With your fresh perspective and enthusiasm, you contribute to your team’s goals while making the most of your internship experience.

In addition, you:

  • Are currently pursuing a vocational (MBO), bachelor’s, or master’s degree relevant to your internship field;
  • Are available for a hands-on internship or graduation project;
  • Have strong communication skills in Dutch and/or English;
  • Demonstrate a proactive and independent mindset;
  • Have a genuine interest in your field and a drive to keep learning and growing;
  • Are able to complete your internship in the Netherlands (housing is not provided).

Enza Zaden as your employer

Enza Zaden is an international family-owned company that has been developing innovative vegetable varieties since 1938. With more than 3,300 colleagues worldwide, we work every day to develop vegetable seeds with better taste, higher yields, and stronger disease resistance. We do this with a clear mission: “Breeding to Feed the World.” Every day, more than 480 million people enjoy vegetables grown from our seeds—something we are incredibly proud of.

We are passionate about what we do and genuinely care about one another. Great ideas are given the space to grow, and together we continue to move forward. This is how we keep innovating, developing, and growing—both as a company and as individuals.
