Our Operations Excellence department is looking for an enthusiastic and socially strong intern to join us from February 2027 for a period of 4–5 months (based on approximately two working days per week). The internship will take place at our headquarters in Nunhem, the Netherlands.

About the internship

As a Power BI & Operational Excellence Intern within our Operations Excellence team, you will contribute to standardizing tactical plans across multiple functions and transforming them into a structured, data-driven solution. Tactical plans contain the actions that different functions execute to achieve their strategic goals.

Your assignment will focus on creating a single standardized way of working, enabling cross-functional visibility, strengthening collaboration between teams, and supporting leadership decision-making through data and dashboards.

Your responsibilities

  • Analyze existing tactical plans across functions such as Processing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain and Production
  • Identify common elements (e.g., actions, timelines, owners, KPIs) and design a standardized template
  • Translate unstructured plans into a structured data model and central dataset
  • Build and maintain a centralized database ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Develop a Power BI dashboard that provides insights into:
  • Progress and performance of tactical actions
  • Status tracking (on-track, at risk, delayed)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and translate business needs into reporting solutions
  • Identify opportunities for improving planning and reporting processes
  • Deliver clear documentation (data model, governance, user manual)

Your profile

You are a final-year Bachelor or Master student in e.g.:

  • Data Science / Business Analytics
  • Industrial Engineering / Operations Management
  • Supply Chain / Business Administration (with strong data affinity)

You have:

  • Strong Excel skills (data structuring, formulas, data handling)
  • Experience with Power BI (data modeling, dashboards, visualization best practices)
  • Understanding of data structuring principles

You are:

  • Analytical and structured in your way of working
  • A strong communicator who easily connects with different stakeholders and builds trust
  • Comfortable engaging with people at different levels of the organization
  • Able to actively listen, ask the right questions, and translate input into concrete solutions
