At the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) in Maastricht, you play a key role in supporting customers and partners worldwide while representing one of the world’s most respected brands.

We belong to the Mercedes-Benz Global Customer Service & Parts division and we work closely with other departments and divisions to deliver the best customer journey possible.

About the team

You will be embedded in the Finance & Controlling department at Mercedes-Benz CAC Maastricht, working directly alongside experienced controllers, accountants, and business stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role that offers genuine exposure to financial steering, performance analysis, and corporate reporting within an international shared service environment. You will work in a cost-center driven organization where financial transparency, efficiency, and data quality are key.

These will be your tasks and responsibilities:

Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to day-to-day financial analysis and reporting within the Controlling team.
  • Participate in monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses (actuals vs. budget/forecast).
  • Support FP&A (Jedox) further development in automated actual based reporting & other continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance existing financial dashboards and BI reporting.
  • Support reconciliation processes and ensure data consistency across financial and operational systems
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and HQ to gather, validate, and align financial data
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and documentation within Finance & Controlling
  • Prepare audit documentation and ensure a complete and audit-proof trail (supporting internal and external audits)
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, data analytics & governance, and AI in reporting and financial processes

What You Will Learn

  • How financial performance is monitored, analyzed, and steered within a multinational organization
  • How a cost-center organization operates, including cost allocation and performance tracking
  • How to translate operational activities into actionable financial insights and management reporting
  • Practical experience with ERP (AFAS; Jedox) systems, reporting tools (BI), and advanced Excel-based analysis
  • The interaction between Accounting, Controlling, Legal, and Business Operations
  • Exposure to audit processes and internal controls within an international corporate setting
  • Stakeholder management and professional communication across different levels of the organization

This is what we are looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical mindset with a natural affinity for numbers and financial data
  • Structured, accurate, and detail-oriented ; you maintain high quality standards in your work
  • Proactive and hands-on mentality: you take ownership and initiative
  • Solid Excel skills; good knowledge with AI application in finance & experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
  • Fluent in English (our working language); additional languages are an advantage
  • A people-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, international, and professional environment
