IT & Software

Tech Pipeline works with operations teams to fix the technical gaps that cause friction in their daily workflows. We are currently assisting a prominent European financial services group with their internal reconciliation tools and help them gain better visibility into their core processes.

About the role
The Frontend Development Internship is focused on the interfaces that internal operators use every day. In many large organizations, teams are forced to jump between several different legacy systems and spreadsheets just to verify a single transaction or clear a backlog. Your job is to help us build clearer, more efficient ways to view and interact with that data. This is a fully remote position where you will work on the user interface of tools that help financial operators trace problems and find the ground truth in their technical workflows. You will focus on building functional, reliable views that stop the drift in data and make complex manual work simpler.

What you will be doing

  • Building and updating layout components in React to help display complex financial data tables.
  • Reading through browser logs and console outputs to understand why certain UI elements are not reflecting the correct system state.
  • Collaborating with our backend developers to ensure that the data coming from the API matches what is displayed on the screen.
  • Improving the navigation and search functionality of internal admin panels so operators can find specific routing rules faster.
  • Testing web interfaces across different browsers to ensure internal tools work consistently for everyone on the client team.
  • Helping to maintain and expand our internal component library to ensure we can build new dashboards predictably.
  • Participating in code reviews to learn our standards and help maintain the quality of the frontend codebase.
  • Documenting how specific UI features work so the client team can manage the tool after we leave.

What we need from you

  • A solid understanding of HTML and CSS, with an interest in how to structure pages for data-heavy applications.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript and a willingness to learn modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue.
  • An organized approach to writing code so that your work is easy for other developers to read and understand.
  • Strong attention to detail when it comes to visual alignment, spacing, and the accuracy of data display.
  • A curious mindset that enjoys troubleshooting why a button or a form is not behaving as expected.
  • Clear written communication skills for explaining technical issues or documenting your progress.
  • The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying connected through written updates.

Helpful background

  • Previous experience using Git for version control in school projects or personal work.
  • A basic understanding of how APIs work and how a frontend communicates with a backend.
  • Exposure to simple design tools for translating mockups into functional web pages.
  • Any previous interest in fintech, accounting, or how large financial systems move money.

What the role offers

  • This is a paid internship with competitive compensation for the current market.
  • A fully remote work environment that offers autonomy and focuses on your actual output.
  • Hands-on experience working on high-priority projects for a major European financial services provider.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced engineers who value practical, working code over abstract theory.
  • The opportunity to see your work used by professional operators to solve real-world business problems.
  • A professional culture that prioritizes deep work and minimizes unnecessary meetings.

Working at Tech Pipeline
Our culture is centered on documentation and clear communication. We do not spend time in long meetings to discuss broad strategies: instead, we write down the specific problem, the proposed fix, and the expected outcome. We stay close to the technical reality of how the work moves. You will spend your time looking at how data flows through a system and making sure the interface reflects that flow accurately. Because we are a remote company, we rely on asynchronous updates and well-documented pull requests to keep everyone aligned. Our goal is always to fix the specific problem and leave the client with a system they can run on their own without us.
