B Lab Benelux

The B Lab Benelux team is part of B Lab Europe. The B Corp community & movement in the Benelux is scaling rapidly. We are a young, innovative, and open-minded team, working with strong dedication and a contagious drive to contribute to B Lab’s mission and vision.

The B Corp Engagement & Impact team is responsible for B Corp relations, ensuring that B Corps are engaged in, and satisfied with their certification. The team also develops local B Corp communities at scale, impact improvement programs, events and drives collective action to inspire topic or industry related knowledge sharing and industry action.

Overview

As Community Intern, you will support the Community & Business Engagement team in strengthening and engaging the B Corp community in the Benelux. This internship is hands-on and varied, combining community support, communications, events, and data-driven projects.

This role is part of the Community Impact & Engagement team. You’ll gain insights into stakeholder engagement, communications, community building, project management, event organisation, and work closely with our community of impact-driven companies.

If your university requires an internship assignment, we’re happy to support you. Some ideas for assignments could include crafting a community engagement analysis or setting up a resource strategy. Of course, we’re open to your ideas for this.

You will mainly work on:

As a Community Intern, you will assist the team in several areas:

Community Support & Engagement: 40%

  • Support day-to-day community engagement activities and help respond to community requests from certified B Corp companies.
  • Assist with onboarding and supporting B Corps in the Benelux community.
  • Help maintain and improve the customer experience of B Corps (e.g., improving community-facing resources and documentation).

Events & Communications: 30%

  • Support the organisation and delivery of community events (online and in-person) like the Beyond Summit, New B Gatherings, including logistics, registrations, and follow-up.
  • Assist with drafting and scheduling community communications (e.g. emails, LinkedIn posts, end-of-year cards).

Community Platform: 15%

  • Help manage and improve the online community platform to support lively and engaging interactions between certified B Corps.

Community Survey Support: 15%

You will play an active role in supporting the ‘26 community survey, including:

  • Assisting with data cleaning, structuring, and basic analysis of survey results.
  • Create summaries, slide decks and visuals to communicate survey insights
  • Translate survey insights into clear takeaways for customer experience improvement

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • You are interested in sustainability, impact, and purpose-driven business (no prior experience required).
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of writing clear, and structured proposals
  • You have a have a customer centric mindset
  • You enjoy working data-driven (e.g. experience with Google Sheets), and are curious to learn from community insights.

  • Internship compensation of 700 EURO based on 32 hours.

  • 2 flexible holidays - which you can use for public holidays
  • Monthly contributions towards health and wellbeing, and commuting to the office
  • Working in a flexible open office at the KIT, next to the Oosterpark in Amsterdam.
  • At B Lab Benelux we have a 4 Day Work Week. This means that we consider 32 hours as full-time. The fifth day can be spent on a uni assignment if applicable.

Starting date: 1st of September 2026 for 20 weeks.

Working Arrangement: Amsterdam (hybrid). Both working from the office in Amsterdam and working from home is allowed. Preferably, we would like to connect with you twice a week in the office where Thursdays are our team days.
