ABOUT FRACTIONAL

Fractional builds AI operating systems for companies: we connect people, tools and data so AI agents can see what's happening across a business and get work done in real time. We work embedded with our clients, shipping working product weekly rather than after months of planning. It's a small, fast-moving team — everyone touches more than one part of the business.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a resourceful, hands-on intern to join us through the Estágios +Talento program. You'll help us ship simple product features using AI-assisted "vibe coding" tools, and pitch in wherever the team needs an extra pair of hands — from client-facing operations to internal projects. No prior software or coding background is required: you'll learn to direct AI tools to build and ship, not to write code from scratch. What matters more is that you can pick things up fast, juggle several things at once, and figure things out when there's no manual. This is a paid job position: eligible for both QNQ level 6 (€1,181.69/mo) and level 7 (€1,289.11/mo) per current IEFP rates.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and ship simple features and internal tools using AI-assisted ("vibe coding") development tools, with guidance from the team

• Jump across different workstreams (product, operations, client support) as priorities shift day to day

• Turn loosely defined problems into working solutions, testing and iterating quickly

• Support day-to-day operations: organizing information, following up on tasks, keeping things moving

• Join the team for periodic in-person work sessions in Porto or Braga

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Someone who finds a way to get things done, even with incomplete information or the wrong tool for the job

• A true multi-tasker, comfortable switching between different types of work without losing quality

• Curious about AI tools and eager to learn by building — no coding background needed

• Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-changing, startup pace

• Strong ownership: you follow through without needing to be chased

• Working proficiency in English

ELIGIBILITY (ESTÁGIOS +TALENTO — IEFP REQUIREMENTS)

• Registered as a jobseeker with IEFP

• Up to 35 years old

• Holds a completed degree at QNQ level 6 or higher (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD) — any field of study

• Has not previously completed an internship under this program with the same limits/conditions defined by IEFP
