Purpose

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Intern to join our team for a 12-month paid internship. In this role, you’ll support our vendors and internal teams by helping with day-to-day operational tasks and learning how an accounts payable function works in an international company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter invoice details into the accounting system, ensuring consistency and correctness of data.
  • Invoice Processing: Assist in the review and processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place before payment.
  • Vendor Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to outstanding payments.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring they are easily accessible for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Supplier Communication: Assist in liaising with vendors to address any queries or issues related to payment processing and account status.
  • Month-End Closures: Support the accounts payable team in month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Provide assistance with other accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Qualification

  • Active student status (internship agreement requirement)
  • Under 26 years old (internship agreement requirement)
  • Ability to work at least 25 hours per week, with flexibility around your university schedule
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous coursework or training in basic accounting principles is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English. Each additional language is a plus
