Internship Description

For our Headquarters in Parma, we are now looking for talented students / new graduates to join our Central Distribution Planning team.

As a key player in the team, you will be provided with a real-world experience and you will have the opportunity to build expertise and be exposed to several competences.

Internship Purpose

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to support the Distribution Planning team in analyzing and optimizing stock levels, contributing to projects aimed at improving the efficiency of planning processes. In particular, you will collaborate on activities within the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) area, gaining insights into inventory management dynamics and the use of data to support Supply Chain decision-making.

Main activities

• Support the definition of the key drivers behind the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) coverage days calculation.
• Identify customer clusters based on similar characteristics and business needs.
• Analyze the replenishment logic managed by the planning system and its impact on stock levels.
• Support the team in defining and reviewing planning parameters in collaboration with VMI planners.
• Validate simulation results and assess the accuracy of the proposed solution.
• Contribute to the team’s day-to-day activities, gaining a broad understanding of inventory management and supply chain planning processes.
• Upload and integrate the updated data into the system.

Requirements

• Master’s degree students or recent graduates in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or Economics fields with a strong focus on Supply Chain topics.
• Excellent academic background
• Fluent English and Italian (mandatory), proficiency in French is considered a plus
• Study or work experience abroad (nice to have)
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work in team
